Who we are

This website is operated by Eric Crutchlow 4 Council District 3 2026 (FPPC ID# 1493699), the campaign committee for Eric Crutchlow, candidate for Santa Clara City Council, District 3 (“the campaign,” “we”). What we collect, and why

If you just read the site, we collect no personal information directly. Google Analytics (below) records standard usage data such as pages viewed, approximate location derived from your IP address, browser type, and how you arrived here. We use it to understand which pages voters read, nothing more.

If you sign up to volunteer, we collect what you type into the form: your name, email address, and optionally your mobile number and ZIP code, plus the ways you've offered to help. This goes to the campaign by email and is used to contact you about volunteering — walk shifts, yard signs, events. Providing a mobile number is your consent to receive campaign text messages about those activities; reply STOP at any time to end them.

If you donate, your contribution is processed by Anedot on Anedot's own secure site — your card number never touches this website or our systems. The campaign receives your name, contact details, contribution amount, and, as state law requires, your occupation and employer. Anedot's handling of your payment details is governed by Anedot's privacy policy.

The part campaign law requires us to say

California's Political Reform Act requires the campaign to publicly report contributions, including the contributor's name, city, ZIP code, occupation, and employer for cumulative contributions of $100 or more. These reports are filed with the City Clerk and the FPPC and are public records. This disclosure is required by law and is not something the campaign can opt you out of.

Cookies and analytics

This site uses Google Analytics 4, which sets cookies to distinguish visitors and measure traffic. Google's use of this data is described in Google's privacy policy. You can opt out with the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on, by blocking cookies in your browser, or by using a content blocker — the site works fully without analytics. We do not use advertising or retargeting pixels.

The site also loads fonts and icons from content-delivery networks (Google Fonts, cdnjs by Cloudflare). Like any web request, those services receive your IP address when your browser fetches the files.

What we don't do

We do not sell, rent, or trade your information. We do not share it with other campaigns or organizations, except with the vendors named above who process it on our behalf, and as required by campaign-finance law or other legal obligations.

Your choices

Email us at any time to be removed from campaign contact lists, to correct your information, or to ask what we hold about you, and we'll do it. California residents may have additional rights under state privacy law; the same email address is the way to exercise them.

Children

This site is intended for people old enough to vote and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from them.

Changes

If this policy changes, the new version will be posted here with an updated effective date. The campaign committee dissolves after the election is certified and its accounts are closed; information we hold is retained only as long as campaign-finance recordkeeping rules require.
