Fix the finances. Fund the fix.
This is a district race, and I've chosen to keep it that way. I signed on to Santa Clara's Voluntary Campaign Expenditure Limit program, which caps what my campaign can spend. I did that on purpose. A council seat shouldn't go to whoever raises the most, and you shouldn't need big money to reach the voters of one district.
I also don't accept contributions from corporations, unions, PACs, or any organization. This campaign is funded by people. If you're reading this, that's you.
Your contribution pays for the unglamorous machinery of a district campaign: the website you're reading, photography, a walk piece for every door in District 3, signs for neighbors who ask, and postage to reach voters who never open a campaign email. Nothing exotic. Every dollar is reported publicly, which is exactly how I think the city's money should work too.
Because I accepted the voluntary spending limit, contributions are capped at $760 per person for the election. If you've given the maximum and want to do more, take a yard sign, host a coffee, or walk your own block. Those are worth more than money in a race this size.
